I once had a dream in which I was part of a team in a large stadium, playing baseball. Our team was winning in a very big way but didn’t know it! The game had been long, and everyone was extremely tired. We had runners on first and second bases, and our next hitter came up to bat. When the ball was pitched, our hitter slammed it deep into the outfield. As our runners began running to second and third bases, the opposing team’s third baseman was waving his hands in an attempt to distract and misguide the runners. He was saying, “Just skip third base and go on to home plate. You’re exhausted, and there’s no way we can catch up to your score, so just give yourself a break. Don’t even go to third base; just go on home.”![]()
I was in the dugout, and instantly realized what was happening. We were winning, and there was no way they could catch up to our score, and they knew it! The only way they could possibly win was by a technicality, so they were trying to play to our weariness and emotions, tricking us into an action that would cause us to forfeit the game.![]()
I ran out onto the field and was yelling at the top of my lungs, ‘Keep going! Do not cut corners now! We are winning, and they know it! The only way they can beat us is by a technicality, so keep going! We’re winning! We are winning!’![]()
Church, this is not the time to be weary in our well-doing! (See Galatians 6:9.) This is the time to “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1-2). ![]()
The enemy would have us believe that the Church is too asleep to be awakened and that America is far too lost to be saved, but Jesus has declared that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church, and Yahweh has determined His verdict that “America shall be saved!” He has prophesied that we will experience another, greater awakening! “The Glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and every eye shall see it, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it” (Isaiah 40:5).![]()
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9). This is not the season for weariness; this is the era for reaping. God has spoken, and He will watch over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12)! This is our “due season,” so keep running. We may be tired, but the Lord renews our strength, and He gives us wisdom to carry on with His purposes. Don’t stop. Don’t cut corners. God is with us, and we are winning. It may not yet look like it, but we are winning!
Awakening revival will be felt and experienced within the Church, but it won’t stop there. God is provoking His people to move past the soulish realm of human ideas and even past some of the “prophetic” expressions and “spiritual giftings” that have become more of an entertainment than a true demonstration of the life-changing glory of God. ![]()
Spiritual giftings are not given so we become enamored with those who operate in them! The Church does not exist for the sole purpose of merely tending to sheep. His gifts are real and church gatherings are necessary, but His desire for both is not to appease the flesh, but rather through them that He may transform our lives and impart to us strategy and wisdom and awaken in us true courageous faith, enabling us to take our place as equipped ambassadors for Christ and His righteous cause.![]()
A real move of God has begun, and it will be demonstrated on levels unfamiliar within the Church or in the world! It is bigger, more powerful, and more far reaching than anything we’ve ever known. ![]()
At the beginning of this year, by the Holy Spirit, the Lord said to me, “My glory will be manifested in unexpected and unusual ways and in unexpected and unusual places beginning this year. You must see and listen by the Spirit. Much of what I will do will be overlooked and unexperienced if you are carnally focused. My manifested glory will mean different things to different people. Be on the right side. Don’t mishandle it, and don’t misinterpret or reject what I do. Get up in the Spirit. Stay up in the Spirit. See things from My perspective, not through the lens of misguided emotions and traditions of men. My glory is coming in. Expect the unexpected and don’t misinterpret or reject the unusual.”![]()
[Portions of this post were taken from my book, ‘Dreams of Awakening.’]
Powerful moves of God have taken place throughout history that have had supernatural spiritual impact that transformed lives, governments, cultures, and nations. Knowledge of those moves of God should not just leave us in awe of what He did, but should inspire and provoke us to believe that what God has done, He can and will do again…and even greater! Those awakening revivals are not just past history. They are the headwaters of rivers of living waters that are still flowing with an unstoppable current of glory and power! And we have entered the time when God is reopening the wells of revival, releasing that river of glory to flow in our time because it’s time! Awakening has begun! ![]()
“Do it again, Lord and even greater!”
Our journey with the Lord is a journey of faith in God. I always say, “Real faith takes real courage!” It’s so true, because God says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways…For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9).![]()
That means there are going to be times when He will lead us in ways that make absolutely no sense to our natural minds. We must make the choice to consistently obey, not so much because we understand the leading, but simply because we have faith in the One Who is leading.![]()
“Jesus answered, ‘Have faith in God’” (Mark 11:22).
As we travel through this life, there are things that we see from a natural perspective, and for the most part, many believe that’s the full view. But that’s not all there is to see. If our focus is drawn exclusively to the things that are happening around us, we will be captured by the limitation of our human understanding. Such focus causes many to be emotionally driven, which can often lead to fear, hopelessness, frustration, and defeat. But God has deposited His Holy Spirit in us, and by Him, we are given the ability to see things through spiritual eyes that cannot be seen through the filters of our natural understanding. ![]()
God has us on His path of purpose and destiny, and He has not limited us to the boundaries of this world. We have been given access to a grander view. There are details, wisdom, and revelation that give clarity and direction for where we are going that can only be revealed by seeing through the eyes of the Spirit. There are obstacles that will be exposed, resources that are to be found, strategies that can be received, connections that can be made, ideas that can be had—things that God has prepared for us to see when we choose to look through this spiritual lens.![]()
“No eye has ever seen and no ear has ever heard and it has never occurred to the human heart all the things God prepared for those who love Him. [But] God has shown us these profound and startling realities through His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep mysteries of God” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 VOICE.![]()
I believe the Lord is speaking to His Church, saying, “Look higher. I have things to show you that you know not of.” ![]()
Holy Spirit desires to unlock the lenses of our spiritual eyes so that we can see and know things from Heaven’s perspective, and things always look a whole lot different when you see them through the eyes of “faith in God”!
